Signing Ceremony On Friday For Rachel Quackenbush

Hoosick Falls Central School is proud to announce that Rachel Quackenbush, a senior pitcher on the Panther Varsity Softball Team, will be signing her national letter of intent to play at Division I Siena College next year.
We cordially invite the public to the signing ceremony which will take place on Friday April 20, at 2:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. Please join us as we recognize Rachel’s significant accomplishment and wish her well as she moves forward to compete at the collegiate level.

HFCS ADAPT Spaghetti Supper
The Hoosick Falls Class of 2013 A.D.A.P.T group is sponsoring a spaghetti supper on April 28 at St. Mark’s Church from 5 to 7 pm. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any A.D.A.P.T. member or junior class member. Call 686-3396 for more information.

BCS Class of 2012 Pizza Night
This Friday, April 20, from 4 to 7 pm, the Berlin High senior class will be selling fresh made pizzas. This is our fifth time doing it, and we are getting better every time. Cheese pizzas and white pizzas start at $8 each and toppings are $1 each. Toppings include pepperoni, sausage, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, black olives, pineapple, broccoli and jalapeños. Letter To The Editor – Shocked By Bond Behavior

I am shocked that the Berlin Board of Education did not approve of the Bond.

Touch Tank Helps Students Learn Marine Biology

Excited second-graders from Berlin Elementary School got a chance to learn something about marine biology last week. On Thursday morning they gathered around fish tanks in the Middle/High School library as high school students explained about sea life. This was hands on learning. HFCS PTA Meeting On April 18
The next business meeting of the HFCS PTA will take place on Wednesday, April 18, in the Elementary School Library beginning at 6:30 pm. Childcare will be provided for ages pre-k on up by making arrangements in advance with Heather St. Hilaire at 518-686-7649.

Hoosick Falls Elementary School Accepting Universal Pre-Kindergarten Applications
The Hoosick Falls Central School District is currently looking for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) class of 2012-2013. UPK is a special program established by the State Education Department to provide an early learning experience for the children of eligible families. Eligible families are defined as those who live in the Hoosick Falls School District and have children who will be four years old on or before December 1, 2012.
