Hoosick Falls Football Remains Undefeated

The Hoosick Falls football team continued its winning streak with a 34-6 win over the Granville Horde under the Friday night lights of Ken Baker field on September 24.
Tanner Williams took the ball to the end zone 3 times to lead the Panthers. He ended the evening with 146 combined rushing and receiving yards.

Lady Panther Soccer Beats Hoosic Valley In A High Scoring Match

The Hoosick Falls Girls Soccer team went into Wednesday’s game against the current first place team, Hoosic Valley. The Panthers knew that in order to win the WASAREN League this would be a game they needed to win. However, within the first minutes HV scored from a corner kick. HFCS Boys Soccer Loses A Close One

The Hoosick Falls and Hoosic Valley boys soccer teams scored all three goals of the game in the first 10 minutes. Two goals were scored by Hoosic Valley’s J.T. Asbestos And Lead Paint Studies At BES

HFCS Senior Choir To Sing At Carnegie Hall

It was announced at the regular meeting of the Hoosick Falls School Board on September 16 that the Hoosick Falls High School Senior Choir will be performing at Carnegie Hall on December 2 as part of a 200 voice chorus with a 94 piece orchestra. Instrument Donations Needed For Berlin Elementary School

At Berlin Elementary School, over 90% of students in fourth and fifth grade are taking instrumental music lessons.  Many students have begun lessons on recorders, an inexpensive plastic flute that helps beginners develop fundamental music skills.  However, due to financial hardships, about 25 students cannot begin lessons on traditional band instruments such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn or trombone.

Geneva Furlano Earns AP Scholar Award

Geneva Furlano of the New Lebanon Junior/Senior High School Class of 2010 has earned the AP Scholar Award in recognition of her exceptional achievement on AP exams. Furlano had a score of 5 on the three AP exams she took last school year – Calculus AB, English Language and Composition and Physics C- Mechanics.

Girls Varsity Beats Greenwich 5-1 Then Enjoys Fruit Bowl

The Panthers played a very impressive game on their home field under the lights against Greenwich on September 21. The girls’ scored throughout the game with Meaghan McKee starting early with the first goal and adding two more later on to get a hat trick.
