On November 14 the BCS 2010 senior class held a chili cook-off. This fund raiser was open to anyone in the public wishing to share their chili with the community and try to win a $50 gift card for having the best chili.

The Berlin Elementary School PTO is sponsoring a voting night spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, December 8, from 5 to 7 pm at the Berlin Elementary School on School Street in Berlin. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $4 for kids 12 and under. Take-outs are available.

Those attending Berlin’s School Board meeting witnessed several contentious presentations regarding the District’s policies and economic plans. While discussion sometimes became blatantly confrontational, it must be noted that the meeting highlighted some obvious upsides of the District, especially the growing interest in band-related activities.
