McMahon Scores 1000th Career Point In Panthers’ Sectional Win

Six foot, six inch senior center/forward Kevin McMahon of Hoosick Falls Central School scored a game high fifteen points last Thursday evening, February 25, in the Panthers’ 55-28 Class C, Section II opening round win over the Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians. McMahon scored his 1000th career point in Hoosick Falls’ last home game of the season which saw HFCS raise its record to 16-3 on the year. Panther Boys Hoop Team Heads To Class C Sectional Semi-Final

Jeremy Burns Wrestles For New England Wrestling Association Title

Springfield College freshman Jeremy Burns of Hoosick Falls who had lost a match early on in the New England Wrestling Association’s (NEWA) Conference tournament last weekend, came all the way back to wrestle for the individual title in the 184-pound weight classification before losing. Bluebird Boxes Assembled

On Saturday morning, February 6, students of the Pine Valley School of Karate, along with Junior members of the Pioneer Fish & Game Club, assembled 45 bluebird boxes. Mountaineers Basketball Season Ends in Greenwich

Despite playing very well the Berlin boys basketball team saw their season come to an end on Friday night, February 22, in Greenwich. The sectional play-in game pitted the Witches of the WASAREN League against the Mountaineers. The teams were battling it out for the right to play against #3 seed Voorheesville in the first round game the following week.
