In HFCC Action Bartoski Aces # 15

Leo Bartoski recorded his fourth career hole in one on April 24.  Using a seven iron, Bartoski aced the 140 yard 15th hole at Hoosick Falls Country Club.  Jeff Gardner, Drew Haskell and Steve Carknard, Sr. were witnesses to Bartoski’s ace.
HFCC will host  a Breakfast Scramble on Sunday May 31. Members and non-members may sign up in the Club House.
The Men’s Thursday Night League will touch off the 2009 season on Thursday May 28.

Panther Softball Team Beats Granville On Three-Hitter

Last Monday afternoon, May 4, Charlie Weeden’s Hoosick Falls Central School Panther softball team had freshman right hand pitcher Rachel Quackenbush on the hill. The Queen was throwing mostly smoke all game as the Panthers used her three-hitter to get by a very competitive Granville Golden Horde nine by a 3-1 margin. Guided Wilderness Experience On May 9

The Rensselaer Plateau Alliance, a coalition of local landowners, environmental advocates and outdoor recreational enthusiasts will be holding two field events on Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 am to noon, and Sunday, May 17, from 1:30 to 4 pm, to highlight the rare natural aspects of 105,000 acres in central Rensselaer County that geographically define the Rensselaer Plateau. The events will start at the Pine Ridge Cross Country Ski Center in Poestenkill.
