Starting pitcher Amanda Despart struck out 9 and Alissa Bierwirth had three hits in Berlin’s victory over Doane Stuart this past week. The 13 to 5 win was the second of the season for the young Berlin Squad that boasts but four seniors. HFCS, 5/10. Hoosick Falls struggled to hit the ball against Greenwich. Two hits late in the game weren’t enough after the Panthers had fallen behind by 10 runs before they scored. Sabrina Whitehouse hit two out of the park home runs for Greenwich. Alyssa Ellis pitched for the Panthers.
