Town Of Hoosick Lions Club Celebrates 50th Anniversary

On Saturday evening, June 4, the Town of Hoosick Lions Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a dinner dance at the Hoosick Falls Country Club. Members from the Albany/Troy, Watervliet, Amsterdam and Scotia/Glenville, NY Clubs, plus the Bennington, Norshaft (Norwich/Shaftsbury), Vermont Clubs, joined the celebration.

Hoosick Girl Scout Honor Ceremony

On Sunday, June 12, Hoosick Girl Scouts their families, and their leaders gathered together for their year end Honor Ceremony at Hoosac School. The program began with a procession of scouts lead by the youngest Daisies (kindergartners) and a presentation of flags by one of the Ambassador troops (a sophomore and four juniors) and with remarks from Service Unit Manager Joyce Brewer. Hoosick Grange had an open meeting on Wednesday, June 8. Business was taken care of, then we had the program with Marion Cipperly in charge. She told us that one of her favorite magazines was Country Women. Then she showed a picture of a wash on the line floating in the breeze. She always liked to hang her wash out.
