The next meeting of our area’s drug and alcohol coalition, TRACs (Together Reducing Alcohol and drug use in our Communities) will be Wednesday, March 9, at 5:30 pm in the library of the Berlin Middle/High School. Community members are invited to participate in planning ways to support teens, their families and our community to stay healthy and safe by preventing teen use of drugs and alcohol. Berlin High School Drama Club To Present The Musical Grease
On March 18 and 19, at 7 pm, the Berlin High School Drama Club will present the G rated family version of the popular musical Grease. A Broadway play and movie featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, this ode to the 1950s immortalized poodle skirts, slick hair and danceable songs.

Girl Scouts Cookies Are On The Move
Girl Scout Cookies arrived in Hoosick Falls on February 19 and individual scouts began contacting their customers. Did you miss out on ordering cookies from an individual scout or do you wish you ordered more? Don’t fret – local scouts will be selling at Stewart’s in Hoosick (corner of Routes 22 and 7) on Fridays from 4 to 9 pm and Sundays from 1 to 6 pm from until March 27, with the exception of March 20.

SVFD Corned Beef Dinner
The Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department’s 13th Annual Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 12, from 4 to 7 pm at the Fire Hall on Grange Hall Road. Take-out dinners also available.
Adult and take-out dinners cost $10; dinners for ages 6-10 years cost $6, and kids 5 and under eat for free.
Darrow Teacher Christopher Locke Honored For Poetry Writing
Christopher Locke, an esteemed member of the English department at Darrow School and an acclaimed poet and two-time Pushcart Prize nominee, has once again been honored for his creative writing.
