HFCS Girls Soccer defeated Tamarac 4-0 on Wednesday, September 16, at home. Goals were scored by Deanna Dubois, Gracy Delurey, Maritza Gonzalez and Meg McKee.
HFCS College Night
The Hoosick Falls Junior/Senior High School Counseling Center is sponsoring a College Information Night on Monday, September 21, at 6:30 pm in the High School cafeteria. Guest panelists Kathy Rusch of Russell Sage College and a representative from Hudson Valley Community College will address a wide range of topics. The program is open to all parents and students and is designed to be especially helpful to college bound juniors and seniors.

Hoosick Grange had an open meeting on September 9. The Lecturer presented to the Master, David Cornell, the first place Blue Ribbon from the Schaghticoke Fair. She thanked everyone who helped.

Teen Basketball Tournament
All teenagers (ages 13-19) are invited to the Petersburgh Baptist Church for a basketball tournament on Saturday, September 26, at 3 pm. There will be a $50 prize for the winning team, a hot dog roast for all participants and a short program. Please register your team (five players) by September 22 by sending an email with players’ names, ages and phone numbers to Basketball_Tourney@yahoo.com. It’s Turkey Time Again
The Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club will be holding its Fall Turkey shoots on September 27 and October 4 at 12 noon. The Club is located on Scriven Road, Petersburgh. Spend an exciting afternoon with your family. We will serve chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade pies, sausage and peppers, just to name a few. Also, we will have several raffles and our 50/50 end-of-the summer raffle. The competition to win a turkey is very exciting to both the young and the old. Barbecue Youth Bowling Leagues Now Forming
The Saturday morning youth leagues will be starting September 19 at the Barbecue. Seniors and juniors, ages 12-20 years, will begin at 8:30 am. Preps and Bantams, ages 5-11 years, will begin at 10:30 am.
