Berlin High School Salutatory

It is hard for me to believe that we are here, sitting on this stage about to graduate high school. It seems like only yesterday that we were sitting in kindergarten getting to know each other over crayons and puzzles. And yet as I look back, I could not be more proud of my classmates as I look at how much we have grown.

Stephentown Historical Society 28th Annual Strawberry Festival

Despite a rainy month and the threat of additional showers on Sunday, June 28, the weather held no rain for the Stephentown Historical Society’s 28th Annual Strawberry Festival at The Berry Patch on Route 22. Grafton Summer Festival

The Grafton Summer Festival, sponsored this year by the Grafton United Methodist and St. John Francis Regis Catholic Churches, will be held on Saturday, July 11, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm at the Town Park on Route 2. There will be a Flea Market, a Bake Sale, a Giant Raffle Booth, all kinds of food and some live music, A Giffy’s BBQ will end the day from 3 to 5 pm. All are welcome.

Hoosick History Camps

Registrations are still being accepted for Summer History Camps at the Barnett Homestead at the Bennington Battlefield New York State Historic Site. Camps begin on July 6 with “In Grandma Moses’ Day,” which gives campers the opportunity to learn how to make their own paint at home, make handmade soap and candles, create original paintings, build a Shaker stool and, of course, cook every day.  [Read more…] about Hoosick History Camps

Greenberg And Cordato Fuse Jazz And Pop At PVMCC

For one night only, Friday July 17, from 7 to 9 pm, area musicians and educators Josh Greenberg and Jerry Cordato will perform a variety of jazz and pop standards for the Music and Art Café Night at the Petersburgh Veteran’s Memorial Community Center. The second set will be open mike.  Performers need to sign up in advance with Josh Greenberg.
