Berlin Town Board Action – Mixing National Politics And Town Politics

At the instigation of Town Supervisor Rob Jaeger, with the avid support of Board Member Richard deLeon, the Berlin Town Board voted unanimously on Thursday, April 11, to pass a resolution in “support of the Second Amendment to protect our country and our people.” Jaeger asked for a roll call vote on the resolution. Petersburgh Town Board Action – The NY SAFE Act

About 35 citizens came to the Petersburgh Town Board meeting on Monday, April 15. Most of them were there to comment on the Town Board resolution affirming support for the Second Amendment right to bear arms and opposing the NY SAFE Act gun control legislation.

Stephentown Town Board Action – April 2013

Stephentown’s sole Assessor, Tom MacVeigh, resigned as of April 11. His retirement was formally accepted by the Town Board at their meeting Monday. Then the Board passed a second resolution reinstating MacVeigh as the Town Assessor.

New Lebanon Family Dollar To Open In May

HFCS Tax Levy Increase Holds At 2.67%

The Hoosick Falls School Board held a Budget Workshop on April 11 and came to agreement on the final shape of their budget.
There was some additional State aid approved when the State Budget passed April 1 so the District was able to get near its budget goals without any cuts beyond those announced in February.

Grafton Planning Board Action – Slow And Steady

In March surveyor Brian Holbritter, representing Lawrence “Jamie” Meracle, Jr.,  presented a plan to the Grafton Planning Board during the informal discussion for a subdivision, located both  in Pittstown and Grafton, of the old Harbinger estate on Edelmann Lane which is near Tamarac Road. Having incorporated the Board’s suggestions, and the suggestions of Pittstown officials, he returned to the Planning Board meeting on Monday, April 15, to continue the informal discussion.

Panther Softball Takes A Couple On The Chin

HFCS Lacrosse: Girls Make History In Cohoes; Boys Defeated By Cambridge
