The Hoosick Falls Village Board meeting lasted all of one half hour. It was a good deal for the dozen or more HFCS students at the meeting who must attend Town and Village meetings as part of their Government class.
Mayor Monahan said the Town Board had declined having a Townwide Police Force. Since cost figures were sketchy he has asked that a more thorough study of the Police Department be made so that they have some good final numbers on the cost to Village and Town.
He said the Dissolution Committee will have to regroup and see where to go from here, look at alternatives and wrap up the study.

Letter To The Editor – Thank You Doug
To the Editor:
I was born in Berlin and lived there for 17 years. I left to go into the service during the Second World War. I remember falling down up on the Plank Road, breaking my arm when I was about 10 years old. I was sitting on the side of the road crying, and Dougy Goodermote came by with his Model T car, stopped and gave me a ride home. I never forgot the kindness that he gave me. That was 75 years ago. I would like to give my condolences to his family and friends. God bless you all.
Thank you,
Bill Deyoe from Tucson, AZ.

The paint area would be owned by the daunting Valley Team that retained nearly every rebounding effort of the first and third quarters. “We need to work on our rebounding to eliminate second chances [for our opponent)] and put up more of our own,” said Coach Mike Lilac.

Panther JV Boys Basketball Keeps On Rolling; Cheerleader Tribute To Accident Victims
by Ben Gaines
The JV Squad came into the game looking to enhance their 19 game win streak against a skillful Hoosic Valley team. Both teams played well but the Panthers outshot and outrebounded the Indians to win the game 47-20.
The gymnasium seemed to be a bit quieter than usual. Then it all came into focus when Cheerleader Coach, Katie DiMaggio and her Captain, Liz Leva, came to request a photo of the Varsity Cheerleaders. The Squad had shelved their traditional Blue and White Hair Bows for an honorary Blue and Green Bow, the colors of Shen and Shaker, who tragically lost two students in a weekend auto accident on I87 in Clifton Park, after the vehicle they were in was rear ended by another.
