The Scouts are Lane Pelletier, Andrew Joyes, Wyatt Cameron and Gavin Bink. Under the direction of David Cummings, a member of the Stephentown Historical Society Cemeteries Committee and Gavin’s grandfather, the boys spent a number of hours clearing brush from the overgrown Arnold cemetery, unearthing bases and resetting toppled gravestones.

Hoosick Planning Board Action
by Bea Peterson
The first to appear before the Planning Board at its Monday, November 19, meeting was Kendal Baker. He was representing the Nelson family that has a farm on Pine Valley Road. This was an initial conference. The Nelsons wish to divide the 365 acre property into three parcels for a simple subdivision. The first parcel would consist of the main farmhouse and barns and cleared land of approximately 171 acres. Grafton Planning Board Action – Two And A Half Men
by Kieron Kramer
What if you called a meeting and nobody came? You’d call it the November Grafton Planning Board meeting and go home to watch television. At least that’s what the four men of the Planning Board said they were going to do. Planning Board Member Owen Grandjean seems partial to the show “Two and a Half Men.”
The Board approved the minutes of the September and October meetings and hearings unanimously. Board Member Arthur Surprise was absent. There was no new business, no old business and no informal discussion. Even Bill Darling wasn’t there. Only three people were in attendance – two were friends and family of the Board, one was a gent who came to meet someone.
