Historian James Parrish will present an illustrated talk, “The History of the Pittsfield Military Cantonment,” at the Stephentown Historical Society meeting on Monday, November 5, at 7:30 pm. The Cantonment was a prison which held British and Canadian soldiers captured during the War of 1812. The meeting will be at the Stephentown Heritage Center on Garfield Road, Stephentown. Dyken Pond Center Wreath Fundraiser
Traditional balsam fir wreaths are being sold as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Dyken Pond Center. These 18″ wreathes are packed full with aromatic balsam, pine cones, red velvet ribbon and a collectible, original, natural ornament that can be kept for years to come. The New Lebanon Library announces the following November events. All of these events are free and will take place at the Library which is located at 550 State Route 20.

North Chatham Library Presents Wildlife
On Sunday, November 4, at 3 pm, Brian Robinson, biologist and teacher, will bring some of the wild birds and reptiles he raises for a presentation at the North Chatham Library. Berlin Fire Department Breakfast
On Sunday, November 4, from 7 to 11 am, the Berlin Fire Department will be holding its fresh, hot off the griddle monthly breakfast. For your eating pleasure we include all-you-can-eat pancakes, French toast, biscuits for our homemade sausage gravy, sausage and bacon, toast, home fries and eggs (scrambled, sunny side, over easy or over hard). Beverage choices include coffee, tea (both decaf available), hot chocolate, milk and orange juice. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for kids 5-10 and free for kids under 5.
