October 12, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Pat Hayes and Bea Peterson
It was cool and overcast Sunday, October 7, for the Annual St. Mary’s Academy Cow Plop and Car Show at the Town of Hoosick Athletic Fields. Youngsters were oblivious to the weather as they enjoyed hay rides, bouncy bounce, pumpkin painting, games and laser tag from morning to afternoon. There was plenty of food for everyone, plus raffles, a silent auction, politicians and, of course, the main event – the Cow Plop.

More than 125 people gathered outside St. Mark’s Church in Hoosick Falls on Sunday to participate in the HAYC3 third annual Suicide Prevention Walk. Many people, affected by the loss of a loved one through suicide, signed prayer flags and hung them on lines strung in front of the Church. Others placed names on luminaries commemorating lost friends or family. Panthers Pound Corinth 47 – 0

October 12, 2012 By eastwickpress

by Steve Bradley
Last Friday under the HFCS lights, the Panthers took on the Corinth Tomahawks. It didn’t take long to see where this game was headed. The Corinth team appeared intimidated from the kickoff, and they never got anything going to bring up their confidence level. The Panthers struck with four minutes gone when Brad Burns scored on a 16 yard run and from then on everything went the Panthers’ way.  Hoosick Falls led 40 – 0 at the half. The JV team got plenty of experience as they played most of the second half.
