Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics is this year’s Title Sponsor for the Hoosic River Bike Ride. Almost 200 bicyclists participate in the annual event, which is sponsored by the Hoosic River Watershed Association (HooRWA). The ride has four different routes of various lengths and degrees of difficulty which allow riders to explore the Vermont, Massachusetts and New York watersheds, farms, forests, covered bridges and historic settlements via mostly secondary back roads. 27th Annual Run For The Roses At Grafton Lakes State Park – Winners And Local Finishers
Runners headed off from a new “START” banner that recognized the race as a Tom Conklin legacy. Conklin was the manager of Grafton Lakes State Park for 22 years who passed away almost a year ago, having initiated the Run for the Roses during his tenure as well as many other park events. Christopher Wilber, age 22, of 92 Eddy Street, Greenwich was arrested for possession of Marihuana. Bodean Hunziker, age 25, of Carroll Road, Valley Falls was arrested for possession of Marihuana.

Lindsay Kuhn of Smoke Ridge Organic Farm in Bloomfield, NY, about 20 miles southeast of Rochester, had a long drive to reach the New Lebanon Library on Thursday, August 9. She arrived to a room filled with youngsters and adults of all ages anxious to learn more about butterflies.
