HFCS Senior Awards Night
Hoosick Falls Junior/Senior High School will be holding its annual Senior Awards Night for the graduating seniors on Thursday, June 21, at 7 pm in the Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium. If you are interested in giving a new award, or if you would like to attend to present your current award, please contact the Counseling Center at 518-686-7321 ext. 1510 by June 5.
HFCS Prelicensing Course
The NYS 5 hour prelicensing course, needed to obtain a NYS driver’s license, will be offered on Wednesday, June 6, at the Hoosick Falls Central School. Registration that evening begins at 4:30 pm in the High School office with the class following promptly at 5 pm. A valid learner’s permit and $35 check or correct cash is needed. Deadline For Walter A. Wood Alumni Reunion Is June 1
The Walter A. Wood Alumni Reunion will be held on Saturday, June 9, at the Pittstown Volunteer Emergency Corps Building. Dinner will be served at 12:30 pm. Special classes to be recognized are the graduating classes of 1962, 1952, 1941 and prior years. Anyone who graduated 50 years ago or earlier and did not receive a letter and is interested in attending, please contact Mrs. Janice Tate at 518-686-7036. Reservations close on June 1.
Lebanon Valley Business Assn. Celebrates Herb History In New Lebanon
The first annual Mount Lebanon HerbFest celebrates the intertwining of herbs, local history and some highly topical interests in the heart of the Lebanon Valley, the birthplace of herbal pharmacy in the U.S. Taking place both in downtown New Lebanon and on the Shaker grounds of the Darrow School, the HerbFest explores the role of herbs in food, gardens, medicine and health from the early days of the Native Americans to present times.

Stephentown Historical Society Program On The US Currency Paper Mill
Peter Hopkins will give an illustrated talk, “Exploring the Colonial Roots of Crane & Co. – Intersections with American History,” at the Stephentown Historical Society meeting on Monday, June 4, at 7:30 pm. The meeting will be at the Stephentown Heritage Center on Garfield Road, Stephentown. It is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped accessible. St. Mary’s Academy Funtastic Fair
St. Mary’s Academy has set the date! This year’s Funtastic Fair is scheduled for Friday, June 8, and Saturday, June 9, from 5 to 10 pm. We’ve added more amusement rides this year, along with two nights of fun. Friday night there will be a Dodge Ball tournament in the St. Mary’s gymnasium and Saturday night there will be Indoor Laser Tag by Grin Mobile.

Batik Workshop In Grafton
The Grafton Community Library will present an introductory Batik Workshop as part of the Grafton Community Arts Program that has been awarded grant funding from The Arts Center of the Capital Region. Class will be on Thursday, June 14, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Everett Wagar Senior Center, located at 2 Roxborough Road on the corner of NY Route 2 in center Grafton. The Hoosick Falls Thrift Store has a large collection of clothes for all seasons, all ages and all shapes and sizes – men, women, and children. And all are priced extremely reasonably. Prices range from $.25 (children’s clothing) to $1 for men’s and women’s tops, pants and skirts and $3 for adult jackets and suits. Or, shoppers can fill a provided shopping bag for $3. Only cash will be accepted for purchases.

Berlin Fire Department Breakfast June 3
On Sunday, June 3, from 7 to 11 am, the Berlin Fire Department will be holding its fresh, hot off the griddle monthly breakfast. For your eating pleasure we include all-you-can-eat pancakes, French toast and biscuits for our homemade sausage gravy, sausage and bacon, toast, home fries and eggs (scrambled, sunny side, over easy or over hard). Beverage choices include coffee, tea, (both decaf available), hot chocolate, milk and orange juice.
Prices are $7 for adults, $4 for kids 5-10 and free for kids under 5.
Please join us before church, grocery run or what you are doing for the day and have a great start to the morning.
This will be the last breakfast until October.
