Proposition 1, the budget, passed 249 to 84. Proposition 2, an amendment to the Capital Reserve Fund, passed 205 to 82. Proposition 3, establishing a student ex officio School Board Member, passed 209 to 77.
Two seats on the School Board were up for election. One was won by Tracy Bingham with 249 votes. The other was won by Monique Wood with 227 votes.
Brownies Visit The Stephentown Fire Department

On April 23, Brownie Troop #1101 visited the Stephentown Fire Department for a tour and safety demonstration. Hoosick Grange met on May 9. We had the program first. The Lecturer introduced Doreen Forney. Doreen has traveled all over the world. She showed pictures of the Baffin Island and Greenland. Gladioli And Whiskey Barrels
It’s that time of year again, when the Berlin Beautification Committee (BBC) plants gladioli all along Rt. 22 in Berlin. If any Berlin resident is interested in planting their own gladioli on their property, we would like to time it so that everything is blooming at once. This year, we are planting the bulbs Wednesday and Thursday, May 23 and 24.

Sharing The Good Old Days In Berlin

Newspaper articles from some 1936 editions of the Taconic Press have surfaced and will be shared. Meetings are held at the Methodist Church, South Main Street, Berlin on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 pm. The programs are free and open to the public.
