On Friday, February 10, the Hoosick Falls bowling team successfully defended its Section II C-D title with a great win at Boulevard Lanes in Schenectady. They won the title in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and placed second in 2008 and 2010. They finished with a six-game total of 6,060 pins. Hoosick Falls beat the Class “A” team on Monday and the Class “B” team on Tuesday and now will represent Section II in the State Bowling Tournament on March 3 in Binghamton. Panthers Runners-Up As Burns, Weierbach Retain Section II Titles

The Panther wrestling team has already this year won the Wasaren League title, the Ken Baker Classic title and the Class C Championship. The Panthers had four individual champions at the Ken Baker Classic and the Class C Championships as well and qualified ten wrestlers to compete this past weekend at the Section II Championships at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Teen Night Events To Raise Funds For Youth To Youth Conference
Youth to Youth Berlin has coordinated what it hopes to be several Teen Nights at the Bridgeway Ballroom in Cherry Plain. It is meant to not only be a night of safe, drug-free fun inspired by the Youth to Youth Conference but the first of monthly Teen Nights locally to provide kids with fun safe drug-free entertainment.

• Make Your Own Terrarium – Tuesday, February 21, at 1:30 pm. Perk up any windowsill with a beautiful, low maintenance, coffee pot terrarium. Learn how terrariums recycle air and water, while creating your own miniature landscape using small plants, moss, vines and stones. This is a great way to go green. All materials will be provided, including a variety of second hand coffee pots. This free program, led by Casey Southard, is for anyone age six and up. Make Your Own Living Foods
Vince Teachout, foodie and green living enthusiast, will conduct a workshop on living foods at the New Lebanon Library on Thursday, February 23, at 7 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Living foods are uncooked, unprocessed, organic and, sometimes, fermented foods which contain natural living enzymes. Participants will learn about the benefits of these foods and also how to produce their own living foods such as sprouts, yogurt, kombucha, sauerkraut, beer and more.
