Vermonter Killed In Stephentown Logging Accident

A Vermont man was killed last week in a logging accident in Stephentown. According to New York State Police, William J. Morse, Jr., 23, of East Arlington, VT, was logging with a family member at about 10 am on Thursday, August 29, on Black River Road when a tree he was cutting down struck another decomposing tree. That tree broke and came down on Morse.

Hoosick’s State Line Riders Host Off Road Motorcycle Scramble

Last Saturday and Sunday, the Bugbee Farm, which overlooks Hoosick Falls, was buzzing with activity as the locally based State Line Riders presented the State Line Hare Scramble off road motorcycling event. The event was sanctioned by the New England Trail Rider Association which consists of 28 clubs scattered across New England and New York. Miss Olivia’s Dancers Perform At The Hoosick Falls Health Center

Twenty-three of Miss Olivia’s students from the British School of Ballet in Hoosick Falls recently put on a one hour dance recital for the residents at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls. The dance numbers consisted of classical ballet, lyrical, Irish step dance, tap and gymnastics. The dancers ranged in age from four to 20 years old.
