Given the economy, the Berlin Community Food Closet has seen a dramatic increase of people needing food and financial support for electric and fuel bills but lacks the funds to support the increasing need. Taconic Valley Historical Society To Discuss The Rutland Railroad

A round table discussion on the Rutland Railroad as it operated in this valley will be held at the next meeting of the Taconic Valley Historical Society on Monday, June 15, at 7:30 pm. The meeting will be at the United Methodist Church on South Main Street in Berlin. Charles Hakes will lead the discussion, with the audience adding their anecdotes to the general information. Please plan on coming both to add to the general information and to learn about the influence of the railroad on the community.
