The Little Hoosick Watershed Association will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, March 19, at the Berlin Seventh Day Baptist Church. The meeting will start at 7 pm. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has made great progress preparing plans for rehabilitation projects at several sites in the river. Please come to hear about the plans and to vote on important resolutions related to the work.
The Berlin Community Cemetery Association will hold a meeting on Monday, March 9, at 7 pm at the Cherry Plain Community Church Building. All lot owners are welcome to attend this meeting!
Girl Scout Troop 1371 is having its Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sale on March 14 at the New Lebanon Supermarket in New Lebanon and on March 15 at Stewart’s in Berlin. They will be selling cookies on both days from 10 am to 2 pm.
Nicholas Ruebel, a 2005 graduate of Berlin High School and a senior at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, majoring in electrical engineering, was named in January to the President’s List for the fall semester. The President’s List at Clarkson requires a student to achieve a grade point average of 3.8 to 4.0 and is the highest rank possible at Clarkson.

Tristin Crawford, a resident of Berlin, and Aprille Tweedie, a resident of Stephentown, are among 872 students named to The College of Saint Rose Fall 2008 Dean’s List.
Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for inclusion on the list.

More than 60 people showed up in the Berlin Fire House on Community Avenue on a cold, snowy night, Thursday, February 19, to have their say on the latest hot topic in Berlin – cell phone service and the building of the towers to provide it.
On Monday, March 9, at 7 pm at the Berlin Middle School/High School in Cherry Plain, the Comprehensive Planning Committee, along with CT Male Associates, the consultants hired by the Town to assist in this plan, will hold its first public meeting. This meeting will inform the public of the results of the surveys as well as many other aspects that the comprehensive plan will cover.
