In the story on the DARE graduation ceremonies at Berlin Elementary School (February 5) we reported that Joann Popov provided a solo trumpet accompaniment to the singing of “We are the Future.” In fact it was Ioann Popov and Michael Zlotnick who provided a trumpet duet. We apologize to both Michael and Ioann.

The sun was shining upon Graftonites as they frolicked in the snow up at Grafton Lakes State Park. The day kicked off bright and early for the ice fishers who were out on the ice as early as 5:30 am trying to catch the first prize. The first events that were open to the public were ice skating on Long Pond, that was open all day. There were also dog sled presentations starting at 10 am. Letter To The Editor – A Vote Of No Confidence
To the Editor:
On December 8 the community members of the Berlin Central School District voted against funding the building plan put forth by the District administration and the Board of Education. Nothing Doing
by Erin Hogan
On January 25 the Grafton Planning Board met for approximately five minutes. All members were present. There wasn’t much on the agenda. Because of the winter season there’s not much going on in the Grafton planning board world. At this meeting the minutes were approved and that was all that was needed to be done. The next meeting will be held on Monday, February 22, because of the Presidents Day holiday on the third Monday.
