Hoosick Area Girl Scouts Selling Cookies In January
Beginning January 9 Hoosick area Girl Scouts will be selling Girl Scout cookies to their families, friends and local businesses. With proceeds from this annual fund-raiser, our local scouts benefit with programs, events and travel opportunities they might not otherwise have. Local support is greatly appreciated.
Cookies cost $4 per box and come in an assortment of traditional flavors (Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Samoas, Dulce de Leche, Thank U Berry Munch, Tagalongs and Thin Mints) and a new flavor in recognition of the Girl Scouts’ 100th Anniversary (Savannah Smiles). Cookies are a great gift to give to others or to keep for yourself; they freeze well. Depending on how many boxes each troop sells, they will earn between 55 and 75 cents per box, as well as receiving other prizes. Some troops will also be participating in the Gift of Caring program, which allows customers to buy cookies that will be sent to military personnel or donated to the local food pantry.
If you don’t know a Girl Scout and would like to buy cookies or have any questions about the Gift of Caring program, please contact Joyce Brewer, Community Cookie Manager by email at GirlScoutsHoosick@gmail.com or by phone at 518-686-4942.
If you miss this selling season, which ends on January 30, please know that many of our local scouts will be hosting booth sales during the month of March.
