All are welcome to join the newly formed Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) Artists’ Guild. The guild is a grassroots effort to gather amateur and professional artists, art enthusiasts and art patrons in the Hoosick area. The goal is to share artistic knowledge, discuss each artist’s work, develop a means to show work, discuss new materials and trends, develop communal art projects and provide insight for continued individual growth and development. Hoosick Falls – Larry J. Stevens of Hoosick Falls, NY, went home to God on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH, after a long illness. He was the cherished husband of Dianne Bingham Stevens and is also survived by his parents, John and Marge Stevens, his brother, Jerry Stevens, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Jeanne M. Capano on Saturday, November 12, at 12 pm from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Academy through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Jeanne died on October 25 of this year. She was the wife of the late John Capano, who died on August 25, 2011, and the mother of the late Alan Capano, who died April 7, 2008.

Hoosick Falls – Catherine La Flamme, 93, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center in Hoosick Falls, NY. She had resided on River Road in Hoosick Falls and was the wife of the late Raymond La Flamme, who died in 1961.

Hoosick Falls – Rose M. Liporace, 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT.
Born on July 7, 1917, in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Phillipo and Josa (Metallo) Graniero. Rose received her education in Pittsfield where she met her husband Joseph Liporace, who pre-deceased her. They moved to Hoosick Falls, NY, where she later opened the Charm Shop. Rose loved to dance and was an avid bowler and bridge player.

Hoosick Falls – Genevieve Valentine, 67, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. She had resided on Church Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Born on June 24, 1944, in Hoosick Falls, Genevieve was the daughter of the late George and Jennie (Russell) Valentine. She attended schools in Hoosick Falls and was employed at Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury, VT, for thirty years. Genevieve enjoyed shopping, dancing, traveling and, most of all, spending time with family and friends.
