Lions Club Penny Hunt On Saturday

The Town of Hoosick Lions Club Annual Penny Hunt will be Saturday, March 27, in Wood Memorial Park at 1 pm. The rain date is April 3. Prizes will be awarded in groups 3 years and under boys and girls, 4 to 6 year girls and boys and 7 to 9  year girls and boys. The egg toss event will follow the Penny Hunt.

Notice is hereby given that seasonal and unsightly decorations should be removed from all lots on or before April 3. Please take all refuse with you. Do not dump debris over the fence or leave it on the cemetery grounds. By order of the Trustees, Hoosick Cemetery Association.

Steven Marking’s Final Area Performance

Since 2003, under the guidance of founder and Artistic Director Steven Marking, the local non-profit performing arts group “You Gotta Hear This!” has been merrily making its way through the Great American Songbook. The March 27 concert “Disney & the Duke” will be Marking’s final local performance before he returns to his hometown of La Crosse, WI, to pursue other professional opportunities. Bennington – Mr. Irving Gardner, 91, a resident of Knapp Drive, Bennington, VT, died Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010, at his home.
Born in Johnsonville, NY, on November 18, 1918, Mr. Gardner was the son of the late LeRoy and Lelia (Salmon) Gardner. He grew up in Johnsonville and attended schools there and in Hoosick Falls, NY.
