The Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad has served the community of Hoosick for the past 53 years. To continue this service it needs volunteers. Candidates can be trained in house in the American Heart Association basic health provided CPR course and also be trained in 24 hours in the various aspects of treating the sick and injured. New York, New York Dinner Cabaret
The Hoosick Falls Performing Arts Booster Club is presenting a New York, New York Dinner Cabaret on Saturday, March 6. Possibility Of Five Rensselaer County State Parks Closing

There are 179 Parks and 36 Historic Sites in New York State. NYS budget rumors have five State sites closing in Rensselaer County. They are Grafton Lakes State Park, Cherry Plain State Park, Schodack Island State Park, the Bennington Battlefield and Fort Crailo. There is swimming and canoeing at both Grafton and Cherry Plain. Grafton is open year around and has over 20 miles of trails suitable for walking, mountain biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Hoosick Planning Board And ZBA See Issue Differently

The Town of Hoosick Planning Board meeting took place this past Tuesday evening, February 16, inside the Hoosick Falls Armory with Chairman Jim Dunigan calling the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Following the Pledge of Allegiance the minutes of the previous month’s meeting were approved. There were six Board members present, including two new Board members, along with Board Attorney Stan King and Recording Secretary Karen Jennings.
