Clark Art Institute Puppet-Making Class For Teens

Master puppeteer David Lane brings his expertise to the Clark Art Institute Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22 from 9 am to 12 pm with a spring break workshop for children ages 10 to 15.

Shaker Museum Receives Ellsworth Kelly / Jack Shear Shaker Collection

The Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon has received a gift of the Shaker pieces collected and used by Ellsworth Kelly and his husband Jack Shear. The collection was promised to the Museum in 2011, following the Museum’s honoring of Ellsworth and Jack at its annual benefit event. Ellsworth Kelly passed away on December 27, 2015. International Musician Sean Gaskell To Play West African Kora At New Lebanon Library

Internationally renowned musician Sean Gaskell will perform at the New Lebanon Library on Friday, April 8 at 6:30 pm. The program, which is free and open to the public, will feature works for the Kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa.  Gaskell will perform traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the Kora’s musical repertoire in addition to some of his own personal compositions.
