To the Editor: (submitted August 3, 2010)
We were pleased to receive the Judgment and Order by the Town of Petersburgh Court dismissing all of the allegations against us by the Petersburgh Planning Board. At the advice of legal counsel we have not commented publicly regarding the private matter of Star Ridge Way, but the Town Court’s recent ruling affords us the opportunity to clarify a number of facts surrounding this issue.

Eberly Brothers At The Grafton Historical Society
The Grafton Historical Society’s September meeting will be held at the Grafton Town Hall on September 15 at 7 pm.
The Society will host Charles Filkens, Curator of the Lewis Miller Museum in the Town of Hoosick. Filkens will present a DVD video program on the Eberly Brothers, big band era singers who sang with the Glen Miller Orchestra and the Dorsey Brothers and who hailed from Hoosick Falls.

Afghanistan Is Topic At Stephentown Book Group
Learn more about life in Afghanistan at the Stephentown Memorial Library Book Club meeting on Tuesday, September 7, at 7 pm featuring guest speaker J. Thalia Cunningham, M.D., FACEP. Dr. Cunningham, an emergency physician, travel writer and playwright, will discuss her experiences in Afghanistan, which she has visited seven times. She will join the group in discussing Back to Afghanistan: My Journey from California to Kabul by Said Hyder Akbar, which provides some background for the discussion. The public is cordially invited to attend the meeting.
