Coach Ken Baker Annual Golf Scramble

Grafton Historical Society Exhibit

An exhibit of antique tools is on display in the Grafton Town Hall. These tools were used by Grafton carpenter Alonzo Phillips, who built the Dunham house, the residence of Joe Mahoney, his own house, carpentry shop, garage, wood shed, out-house and hen houses. The display is open Mon. to Fri., 9 am to 5 pm.

35th Anniversary Of The Funtastic Fair!

St. Mary’s Academy’s annual Funtastic Fair on June 11 and 12 this year marks the fair’s 35th anniversary. Along with the traditional games and attractions, there will be rides for young and old from Amyland Amusements, our own version of the popular game show “Minute to Win It” and inside spaces for vendors.
The fair runs on Friday from 5 to 10 pm and on Saturday from noon to 10 pm. Call the school at 686-4314 ext. 202 for more information on vendor spaces or if you would like to sponsor a booth in memory of a loved one or your SMA graduating class.

The Poestenkill Historical Society Presents Early Stoneware

The Poestenkill Historical Society  will meet Tuesday, May 25, at 7:30 pm in the Poestenkill Town Hall on Rt. 351. Art Dell will present a program on early stoneware. Stephentown Summer ’Tween Program

Grafton FD Breakfast

The Grafton Volunteer Fire Department along with the Grafton Ladies Auxiliary will be holding an all you can eat buffet breakfast on Saturday, May 22, from 8 to 11 am at the Grafton VFW – Fire Hall on South Road (County Route 85). Belgian waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs (made to order), bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, orange juice, coffee and milk are on the menu.  The cost is $8 per adult, $4 for kids 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under. We look forward to serving you!

Due to the overwhelming success of the book drive last year, the Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Troops are holding another one this year. Your gently used books would be greatly appreciated to make this one a success as well! We are looking for reading books in the kindergarten to sixth grade reading levels. Not sure if the book is age appropriate? No problem – drop your book in the bin, and we’ll decide.

Only two more weeks to do your spring cleaning and participate in the Petersburgh Town Wide Tag Sale and Library Bake, Book and Plant Sale on Saturday, June 5, from 9 am to 3 pm.  It costs $5 to be included on our Tag Sale map or $10 to rent inside space at PVMCC – table rental, $5, electric needs, $5. Contact PVMCC at 658-3260 for information and registration forms.  Forms may be picked up at PVMCC during open hours. Boy Scout Troop 222 will be cooking lunch, grilling up hot dogs, hamburgers and the works!
