Petersburgh Fire Auxiliary Charlie Dog Fund Raiser

The Petersburgh Fire Auxiliary will hold a Charlie Hot Dog Fund Raiser at the Fire House on Thursday, September 17, beginning at 5 pm. We’ll be there until the dogs are gone. Pre-orders may be called in ahead of time to Janet at 658-3053.
The prices are $.75 each, $4.50 for a half dozen and $ 9 for a dozen. We’d appreciate the community stopping by to support our endeavor.

Victoria Niles Named To President’s List At SVC

Victoria Niles of Hoosick Falls has been named to the President’s List for the spring semester, 2009, at Southern Vermont College in Bennington, VT. The President’s List recognizes full-time students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.8 during both fall and spring semesters.
Niles is majoring in Nursing. She is a graduate of Hoosick Falls Central High School. Niles is the daughter of Sharon and Robert Niles of Hoosick Falls.

Jaimi Shiland Tudor Gets Master’s From U Of Alabama

Jaimi Shiland Tudor of Hoosick Falls received her Master’s In Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa on May 9, 2009.  Mrs. Tudor is a 2003 graduate of SUNY Oneonta and was a member of the class of 1999 at Hoosick Falls Central School.  She is currently employed at the North Adams Regional Hospital as a registered dietician.

Kristen B. Del Rosario Named To Dean’s List At Siena

Kristen B. Del Rosario, a sophomore at Siena College in Loudonville, NY, was been named to the Deans’ List for the Spring 2009 semester.
She majors in Accounting. Kristen is the daughter of Donald and Janice Del Rosario of Hoosick Falls.

September 7 –  Monday, Labor Day, Sand Sculpture Contest.  Registration at 12 pm at Beach Nature Center.  Judging from 1:30 to 3 pm.  Prizes for all participants.  Come be an artist in the sand on the “last day of summer!”

Grafton Lakes State Park Invites Artists To The Park

Grafton Lakes State Park invites artists to portray the Park’s fall scenery on Sundays from September 20 through October 11 (Columbus Day weekend).  Registered participants in the Art in the Park program will receive free Sunday admission to the park to paint, draw or photograph in exchange for submitting a piece to the Silent Art Auction at the Winter Festival on January 23, 2010.
