Teen Night has been rescheduled again to Friday, June 12, from 7 to 9 pm. Teens can enjoy playing basketball, dodgeball, foosball, playing pool on our new Hammerschlemer pool table as well as enjoying pizza and music.  Teens may also bring their own instruments to play. Admission is $2.

Funtastic Fair

St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls will hold its annual Funtastic Fair June 12 and 13 from 5 to 10 pm each night on the school grounds. Back this year by popular demand are carnival rides for young and old provided by Amyland Amusements. All your favorite games, activities and foods are back with some new additions as well. New this year will be a Decadent Dessert raffle to be held on Friday night. Come and join us at St. Mary’s for this hometown tradition. There is no admission fee.

North Hoosick Fire Dept. Kids Dance

The North Hoosick Fire Department will hold its first dance in June this Saturday night, June 6. All students in grades 4 through 8 and who attend Hoosick Falls, St. Mary’s Academy or Cambridge schools are invited to attend. The dance will be held from 7 to 10:30 pm in the North Hoosick Fire House.

Stephentown Library Gets Japanese Books Through Toyota Grant

The American Library Association, thanks to a generous grant from Toyota Motor Corporation, was able to offer as a benefit to 200 public libraries that are ALA organizational members, a set of 50 translated works of Japanese modern fiction and non-fiction. Matthew Howe On Dean’s List

Coastal Carolina University of Conway, SC, reports that Matthew T. Howe of Stephentown has earned Dean’s Lists status for the spring 2009 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average; all students must be enrolled full time to earn status on the list.
