Full-tuition scholarships valued at $1,100 each are available for a two week workshop to be held at Mount Lebanon Shaker Village, a National Historic Landmark in New Lebanon, from August 3 to 13. The scholarships are offered by the Shaker Museum and Library in conjunction with the World Monuments Fund. The workshop will be under the direction of the North Bennet Street School, Boston.

The Berlin American Legion Auxiliary Post #937 will have a meeting on Wednesday, May 6, at 7:30 pm at the Watipi Building in Berlin. Encouraged to attend are all wives, daughters, mothers, sisters, grandmothers and great-grandmothers, granddaughters and great-granddaughters of veterans. Relatives of military people currently serving on active duty are especially welcome.
Due to the overwhelming demand for rabies vaccine at our rabies clinic last Thursday, the Town of Berlin will hold another clinic for dogs and cats on Thursday, May 7, at 7 pm at the Town of Berlin Highway Garage on Route 22 in the Town of Berlin. Brunswick Community Library’s Garden Day is Saturday, May 9, from 9 am to 2 pm (rain or shine) at the Brunswick Walmart parking lot. This year we will have a wide selection of hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, plus tree and shrub seedlings. Raffle tickets are available for a quilt and a hand painted Adirondack chair. The drawings will be held on Garden Day. Stop by and buy something special for Mom while supporting your local library.
