Ingraham Takes Fourth In Air Rifle World Championships

Competing for the first time in a major event, Rick Ingraham placed fourth overall in the World Rimfire & Air Rifle Benchrest Competition at the Palmetto Gun Club in Charleston, SC, the end of July/beginning of August. Stratton Expands Custom Butchering Business

Greg Stratton has taken the plunge. What started out as a part time business last fall has become his full time job. He has purchased all the necessary equipment, and construction is almost complete on his processing facility next to his home. Stratton does on site slaughtering of farm animals raised for meat, then brings the animals to his Pine Valley Rd. building for custom butchering. He also processes wild animals.

British School Of Ballet Enters 35th Year

This will be the 35th year Miss Olivia has operated the Ballet School located at 120 Church St. in Hoosick Falls. Miss Olivia has always taught all of her classes and still does. Not only does she teach ballet, she teaches Irish step dance, tap, Scottish highland dance, including the Sword Dance, and gymnastics.

Giffy’s Chicken Bar-B-Q

The winners of the Mountain Chapel Fishing Derby on Aug 27 were –  1st place, Caleb Hendricks from Berlin, 2nd place, Jeffery Curtis from Petersburgh, 3rd place, Sharon Strock from Grafton. Junior Division – 1st place, Jordyn Travis, 2nd place, Nate Hendricks, 3rd place, Seth Hendricks.

Penny Social In Brunswick

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Brunswick Elks will hold their Annual Penny Social on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 1-4 PM. Doors open at 11AM. Over 200 Prizes to be won, plus raffles for 22″ flat screen TV and a Kindle.  Door prize is a trip for 2 to Turning Stone.  Come enjoy a good time!.  The lodge is located at 665 Brunswick Road (Rt 2), Troy, NY.
