H. Bradford Cole Remembered

Last Wednesday evening, July 14, the Hoosick Skating Rink reverberated with the sounds of the 50 member Town of Hoosick band, plus nine guests. The special concert honored H. St. Mary’s Academy will hold its Alumni Weekend on August 6 and 7.

Greene was elected to the position by a vote of 4-2 (with one member abstaining), with Beverly Stewart receiving the other two votes. NLCS Students Score Well On Standardized Tests

On July 7 New Lebanon School Board meeting set the tone for the upcoming school year. Current superintendent Karen McGraw was sworn in for another term. Incumbent Board of Education members JoAnn Gavirty and Raymond Sowalski and David Kroboth, the BOE’s newest member, were sworn in as well. Moreover, current President Monique Wood was again nominated to lead the Board. Sowalski will continue his position as BOE Vice President.

BCS Leadership Positions Filled

In the wake of Superintendant Gregory’s resignation, Berlin’s BOE had little time to decide who would assume leadership of the District. On June 29, the BOE appointed Eileen Leffler, Grafton’s former Principal, as interim superintendant. They also officially approved resolutions to make Berlin art instructor Jason Breh the interim middle school principal and Cathy Allain the high school principal with tenure. Each of these appointments takes effect on July 1.
