Mountaineers Fall On Grand Game For LCS

Despite losing two of their last three games, the Berlin boys basketball team traveled to Loudonville on Friday having improved their play drastically since they hosted the Eagles to open the season. Friday night was a special night for the Eagles, as their standout guard Cullen Overholt stood just 14 points away from becoming the first LCS boys basketball player to reach 1,000 career points. Mountaineer/Tiger Wrestlers Face Tough Competition At ICC Tourney

The Berlin-New Lebanon wrestling team traveled to the Ichabod Crane wrestling tournament this past weekend to take on several tough Capital District wrestling teams. Panther Bowlers Are Southern Division Champs

On Thursday, January 21, the Hoosick Falls bowling team beat Luzerne by the score of 4-0. This was their last regular league match of the season giving them a record of 49-7. The victory means that the Panthers are the Southern Division champion of the Adirondack League and will bowl Fort Edward on Thursday, February 4, at Hi-Roc Lanes in Saratoga starting at 4 pm for the overall championship of the league.

Panther Boys Hoop Team Beats Cambridge, Faces Schuylerville Friday Night

The Hoosick Falls Central School boys basketball team got back to their winning ways last Friday night, January 22, when they traveled to Cambridge Central School and took the measure of the Indians by a 57-42 score. Mike Lilac Jr.’s Panther five raised their WASAREN League mark to 8-1 with the win and to 10-2 overall. HFCS had been coming off their only league loss to date with a 48-47 loss to Hoosic Valley being in their rear view mirror.

Panther Girls Hoop Team Is Competitive In Loss To Cambridge

Panther Boys Hoop Team Beats Granville

Mike Lilac Jr.’s Hoosick Falls Central School Panther boys basketball team finished the first half of the rugged WASAREN League season undefeated last Friday night, January 15, when they beat down one of its challengers, home standing Granville Central School, by a 59-38 margin. HFCS, now 7-0 in league action and 9-1, overall, gave the Golden Horde their first league loss. The Panthers hit five three-point shots on offense, and their stingy defense held one of the Horde’s leading scorers scoreless.

Panther Boys Beaten At Buzzer

Well, what every Hoosick Falls basketball fan was hoping wouldn’t happen did happen last Tuesday night, January 19. Visiting Hoosic Valley Central School in bounded the basketball after a timeout, down by a 47-45 margin to Mike Lilac Jr.’s Hoosick Falls Central School Panther five, drove the length of the court and hit a game winning trey as the fourth quarter horn sounded to walk out of the River Road gymnasium with a hard earned 48-47 WASAREN League victory.
