Newell Subdivisions Was Topic At Grafton Planning Board Meeting

Before the regular Planning Board meeting on Monday, March 15, there were two public hearings regarding Scott Newell applications to subdivide two pieces of property that he owns. The first hearing pertained to 204 Pond View Road. The piece of property isn’t lakeside and is currently 13.25 acres. Newel wants to divide the property into 6.83 and 6.42 acre lots. David Hunt of Jay Hakes Road was present to express his concern about the environment and make sure that with the dividing of these properties no swamp or forest would be disturbed. Hoosick Falls Election Results

To say Hoosick Falls election day turnout was light last Tuesday is an understatement. Granted, the three trustee candidates Ann Marie Bornt, Robert Downing and Michael Hickey were running for re-election unopposed. Third term trustee Bornt received 63 votes Fourth term Downing and second term Michael Hickey each received 60 votes.

Ward Stone Is Featured At 2nd Annual Outdoor Expo

Therapy Dogs Help Young Readers

Nathanael, age 8 is a third-grader at Walter B. Howard Elementary School. He is enjoying Social Studies this year because his class gets to “travel” to different countries and then have a “feast” with foods from each country. His hobbies include building things with Legos and K’nex, playing Wii, computer and DSi games, drawing and reading. The book he chose to read to Simon is about Jack Russell: Dog Detective.
