ICC Banners Disappear
by Bea Peterson
For the last two months brightly colored six foot long banners have hung outside the main doors of Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Sometime between 10 pm Saturday, July 29, and 6 am Sunday the banners and the wooden poles that held them were ripped from the brick wall, leaving only damaged brackets behind.
“Between the bright colors and the gold pattern in them it was like the sun rising above beautiful Hoosick Falls,” said Fr. Tom Zelker, pastor of Immaculate Conception. He noticed the banners missing when he opened the Church in the early morning.
If anyone knows anything about the missing banners they should please notify the Church at 686-5064. The banners are rather unique and can be easily identified.
