Rensselaer County Legislature – May 2012

Honoring Joan Rogers

In March the Rensselaer County Legislature passed a resolution memorializing Joan Rogers of Hoosick Falls. She died on January 22, 2012. At Tuesday’s session of the Legislature nine members of the extended family of Joan Rogers appeared in the well of the Legislature to receive copies of the resolution honoring her. District Five Legislators Stan Brownell and Lester Goodermote, who represent the towns of Stephentown, Berlin, Petersburgh, Grafton, Hoosick and the Village of Hoosick Falls, made the presentation.

Country Music Radio At The Falls Diner

On Friday, May 11, the Sean and Richie Morning Show from country music station WGNA in Albany will celebrate Small Town Month by remote-broadcasting from the Falls Diner from 6 to 10 am. Village of Hoosick Falls Board – New Building Inspector

During the regular meeting of the Hoosick Falls Village Board on Tuesday, May 8, the Board left the room for a short executive session. When they returned they voted unanimously to appoint Edward Holland of Cossayuna as Building Inspector for the Village. Holland’s part time position will be 24 hours a week, with a 90 day probationary period.

Hoosick Falls Health Center Renamed
