Shakespeare’s As You Like It At Wood Park In Hoosick Falls
Shakespeare’s pastoral comedy As You Like It is the Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall’s (TCHH) annual free summer Shakespeare touring production to area parks and historical sites in upstate New York and southern Vermont this year. The live outdoor production, directed by TCHH’s new Artistic Director John Hadden, will tour the region from July 22 through July 31. The performances, which begin nightly at 7 pm, are free and open to the public. Tickets are not required for this show, which will be performed on Sunday, July 24, in Wood Park, Hoosick Falls

Lightning Strike Disables Wells In Hoosick Falls

The powerful storm that swept through the Capital District last Wednesday, July 6, managed to inflict some heavy damage on Hoosick Falls. Unbeknownst to most residents, one of the Village wells took a direct hit from a lightning strike about 3:30 in the afternoon. The strike was so powerful it also knocked out the other two wells. Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Disney Camp
The Sports complex at Hoosac School will once again host the Hoosick Falls Girl Scout camp this year on August 1 through August 5. Its sports field will be full of Disney-themed activities including Mickey, Donald, Princesses, Animal and Pixar movie crafts, games and other activities. Along with these activities there also will be hiking in the near by trials and other sport activities.

Hoosick Falls Girl Scouts Selling At Wednesday Band Concerts
Girl Scouts of Hoosick Falls will be selling cookies, freeze pops and lemonade at the Community Band Concerts this summer; all proceeds will be benefit local Girl Scout programs and events and help with repairs to the bandstand gazebo. The Girl Scout booth will be staffed by a different troop each week.
