Weather conditions have finally cooperated and the Reynolds-Gilchrest Skating Rink is opened for the season. Registration for skating and hockey lessons offered by Hoosick Friends of Skating will be held on Saturday, January 17, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Rink. To register, you must be at least five years of age.

The Hoosick Area Partnership for Parents and Youth is sponsoring a grant writing workshop on January 29 from 9 am to 3 pm. The workshop, at the Hoosick Community Youth Center, will assist people to sharpen their grant writing skills, learn the how-to’s of finding what grants are available to meet their needs, learn the proposal elements and how to package the proposal. There is no charge for this service.
