Eighth Annual Town Of Hoosick Republican Golf Tournament

The Town of Hoosick Republican Party will host its eighth Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 1, at the Hoosick Falls Country Club with an 8:30 am shotgun start. The tournament will be a 4 man scramble format with 18 holes.  Lunch will be served and several prizes will be awarded. Win $20,000 with a hole-in-one.

Rensselaer Land Trust October Events

October 1, Saturday – Hike Up and Down the Hollows at 9 am. This free hike will go up the central portion of the Taconic Crest Trail, ascending via Mattison Hollow past waterfalls and descending via Robinson Hollow. This is a strenuous seven mile hike with steep uphill and downhill sections. Wear boots or sturdy shoes. Bring lunch, snacks and plenty of water. Prepare for cool and windy conditions. Hoosick Falls Commemorates The Tenth Anniversary Of 9/11

Ceremonies commemorating the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, 9/11, were held in Hoosick Falls Sunday evening. Close to 200 people gathered at the Hoosick Falls Firehouse for the candlelight walk that began with prayers for healing, peace and understanding expressed by members of the Hoosick Area Church Association clergy. Hoosick Board: Storm Issues And The White Creek Bridge

On Monday, September 12, the Hoosick Town Board heard Town Highway Superintendent Bill Shiland report that he has yet to meet with FEMA people.
