Hoosick Falls Youth Basketball Has Successful Season

The Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition youth travel basketball program participated in the Greylock, Peru Challenge, Glens Falls Super Hooper Classic, Hudson Falls Winter Frenzy, Lake George Holiday Inn Classic and the St. Anne’s Shooters basketball tournaments. The travel teams are made up of boys and girls in grades 5 though 9.

The West Hoosick Fire Department announces an All You Can Eat Breakfast at the fire house on Sunday, April 18, from 7:30 to 11 am. The menu includes pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Arthur Miller’s All My Sons A Riveting Drama

Hubbard Hall has opened a fine new production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, directed by Allen McCullough. McCullough is an actor based in Brooklyn (although he has deep roots in Bennington). He has a lengthy resume as an actor, but this is his debut as a director. He makes no grand directorial statements here – the set is simple, there is no music or fancy stage business or innovative interpretations – he succeeds by drawing great performances from his actors and putting the acting at the center of the production.

All Saints Church To Host “Lessons from Africa”

Last year, as a newly ordained Episcopal Deacon, Reverend Frank Lockwood traveled to Nigeria. Like so many who embark on mission work, he would find the experience profoundly moving and rich in life lessons. Meeting On Rensselaer Plateau Legacy Area Is Packed

DEC officials are convinced that designating the Rensselaer Plateau as a Forest Legacy Area would make good environmental and economic sense. Representatives from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) presented their proposal Before a packed audience of about 150 people at Tamarac School last Wednesday, March 24. Ward Stone Featured At Outdoor Expo

Hoosick Falls Central School held its Second Annual Outdoor Expo March 26 and 27. On Friday elementary students, armed with colorful questionnaires asking them to find birds, animals and information, scrambled past the many exhibits that filled the high school gymnasium.
