Hoosick Eateries Show Overwhelming Support For “A Taste Of Hoosick”

Staying connected to the community and recognizing that going hungry is a reality for many local families, Hoosick area eateries are quickly signing up to showcase their favorite dishes at “A Taste of Hoosick” to benefit the Food Pantry of the Hoosick Area Church Association. The event will be held on Sunday, September 20, from 4 to 7 pm at the Hoosick Falls Country Club.

Local Businesses Show Support for First Hoosick Pumpkinpalooza

Community support for the first Hoosick Pumpkinpalooza has been very strong, judging from the number of local businesses who have decided to sponsor the event. Most major sponsorship opportunities have been taken and additional support in the form of donations and volunteers continues to be received daily. The festival is being planned for the weekend of September 26.

Backyard History Video To Be Aired Next Week

This year’s topics include Charles Cheney, local banker and philanthropist who donated the money to build our public library, William Thomas, Congressman and Pharmacist, and  Henderson Van Surdam, musician, coach and sports writer. Baking Contest Part Of Fall Frolick At The Barnett Homestead

The Barnett Homestead at the Bennington Battlefield New York State Historic Site will celebrate the beginning of the autumn season with a Fall Harvest Frolick on Sunday, September 20, from 11 am to 3 pm.
