Berlin/Grafton United Methodist Churches Become One

At the annual charge conference of the Berlin/Grafton United Methodist Churches on December 5, a vote was passed to combine the congregations into one. The Church’s new name is United Methodist Church and will be in the former Berlin United Methodist Church.

High Winds In Hoosick Falls Close John Street

John Street was closed for about a half hour Wednesday afternoon while Village employees and John St. business people pushed brooms to remove glass from the sidewalk and street. Legislature Approves 2011 Rensselaer County Budget With a 2.5% Tax Levy Increase

The Rensselaer County Legislature approved a 2011 County budget that protects needed services and the County’s solid financial standing, along with reducing the amount of a proposed property tax increase.
Thanks to a cooperative effort between legislators and the County Executive, progress has been made in reducing a proposed 4.9 percent property tax increase. The spending plan protects needed County services and includes a modest 2.5 percent property tax increase.

A Family Of Black Belts In West Stephentown

Hoosick Falls Girls Scouts Clothing Drive
