Buckley Is A Grafton Resident

Correction
In our story on the Grafton Town Board last week we passed along misinformation regarding the residency of David Buckley, who intends to run for Grafton Supervisor. According to a letter from Buckley’s lawyer, he purchased property at 41 Benker School Way in Grafton on April 20, 2010. The deed was recorded in the County Clerk’s office on April 27. We apologize for passing along this misinformation.

Hoosick Falls Girl Scouts Selling Strawberry Shortcake

Girl Scouts of Hoosick Falls will be selling strawberry shortcake at the Community Band Concerts this summer; the concerts are held every Wednesday night starting at 7:30 pm on the Village green in Hoosick Falls. The shortcake booth will be staffed by a different troop each week and all proceeds benefit local Girl Scout programs and events. If you like our cookies, come try our shortcake! We guarantee you will enjoy!
We will also have forms available for any girls or adults interested in learning more about Girl Scouts.

EC Golf Scramble Approaching Fast

The 5th Annual EC Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, August 14, at the Hoosick Falls Country Club. This event is a benefit to support youth participation in sports activities in the Town of Hoosick.  To date the fund has supported multiple children in the community who need financial assistance while allowing the support to remain anonymous. All that is required is a phone call or letter to a member of the Carknard family with a brief description of what is needed.
