Rollover On Route 7

June 4, 2010 By eastwickpress

by Pete Gregory

An 18-wheeler traveling west on Route 7 in Hoosick ran off the road and rolled on its side around 6 pm on Tuesday, June 1. The trailer spilled its contents onto a front yard after failing to negotiate a turn. The driver was fortunate to avoid hitting any houses or trees as his truck slid to a halt on the side of the Route 7, just west of Hobson’s Choice, in Hoosick. Emergency crews were on the scene immediately to assess the situation. The driver of the truck was able to climb out of the cab prior to the emergency crew’s arrival. Although shaken, he didn’t appear to sustain any injuries.
