Creations On The Corner In Berlin

Cheryl Thibodeau, who last year opened a wine shop on Berlin’s Main Street, has now begun a new enterprise next door to Vonadeau Wine & Spirits in the old “Corner Store.” Called Corner Creations & More, it’s a place where artisan crafters and artists can display and sell their wares. Cheryl said she saw a need for a place like this because there are so many talented people living in this area.

Max Fischer Prepares To Be Navy Seal

Max F. Fischer IV of Grafton graduated from The Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, IL, on May 14. He will continue at Great Lakes for several months of special ops training then transfer to Coronado, CA, for BUD/S (Basic underwater demolition/ SEALS) training in preparation to becoming a navy seal.

New Lebanon Farmers Market Opens Sunday

The Lebanon Valley Farmers Market will open Sunday, June 13, from 10 am to 2 pm on Routes 20 and 22 (501 Route 20) in the center of town. It is a producer only market offering locally grown produce, meats, cheese, bread and hand crafted goods.

PVMCC Art Café Night

Join us on Friday, June 25, at the PVMCC for Music and Art Café Night. This month the PVMCC will present Mike McMann. Mike McMann, one of the finest guitar players in the Capital region, is a versatile musician who has been a regular on local stages for over 25 years. A veteran of classic rock, alternative rock, bluegrass, acoustic and jam band circles, Mike has played in such bands as Euphoria, the Tropical Hotdogs and the Kenny Gwyn Band. He will be playing two solo sets starting at 7 pm at the PVMCC on Rt. 2 in Petersburgh. Bring your favorite art supplies and exercise your talents while McMann entertains you with live music. Admission is $5 per person, $8 per couple and $10 per family.

In our story about the Town of New Lebanon being threatened with lawsuits that appeared in the May 21 issue of the Eastwick Press, and in our other stories about New Lebanon, we have referred to Robert Mittnight who lives in New Lebanon. His name is actually Robert Mittnight, Jr. This was brought to our attention by Robert Mittnight, Sr., a resident of Stephentown.
