HF Girl Scout Troop #1313 Fund Raiser

Brian Cody, from FLY 92.3 FM radio station, will be the guest disc jockey for a dance open to Hoosick area youth in grades 7-10. The dance will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 7 to 10 pm, at the NYS Armory on Church Street. The admission fee is $5 per student, and food and drinks will be for sale. 

Students attending the dance must sign in with a home phone number and must be signed out by an adult by 10 pm; students will not be allowed to leave the dance and return.   Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Troop #1313 is hosting this event to raise money for their August 2009 trip to Washington, DC.

County Sponsors Veterans Info Event

County Executive Kathleen Jimino has announced a Veterans Information Event at the Walter Adams American Legion Post on Route 43 in Averill Park on Saturday, April 18, between 2 and 4 pm. Veterans and families of those who have served or are serving our Nation in the Armed Forces are invited and encouraged to attend.

West Hoosick FD Pancake Breakfast

The West Hoosick Fire Department announces an “All You Can Eat” Breakfast at the firehouse on Sunday, April 19, from 7:30 to 11 am.  The menu includes pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, toast, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.  The firehouse is located at 1270 Pine Valley Rd. near the intersections of County Routes 109 and 103.  Any questions, please call the firehouse at 686-1814.

Preventing Fall Related Injuries

On Friday, April 24, the Seniors’ Ministry of Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph Parish, New Lebanon, will host their regular monthly breakfast meeting and speaker. The event will take place in the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall, 732 US Route 20, in New Lebanon, beginning at 10 am. 

 

This month’s discussion will focus on how you can prevent fall related injuries and how to survey your own home to reduce hazards that may cause you to fall. There is no charge to attend this program and all interested persons are invited to attend.

Friends Of Cherry Plain State Park Spring Meeting
