Folmsbee Van Was On Seasonal Road In Violation Of Contract

The driver of a school bus van that got stuck in the snow last Thursday, January 8 should never have been on that road, according to Rensselaer County spokesman Chris Meyer. The van got stuck on a seasonal portion of North Moore Hill Road in North Stephentown. Seasonal roads are not plowed in winter and are officially closed to traffic from October 15 to April 15.

Amendment Named For Horse Killed In Hoosick

The brutal killing of the bay Skye, owned by Dawn Feathers, in her stall on Hill Road in Hoosick prompted County Legislators Lester Goodermote and Stan Brownell to introduce a resolution at Tuesday night’s Rensselaer County Legislative session calling for the State to strengthen Buster’s Law, a law which, several years ago, established the felony category of aggravated cruelty toward animals.
